Hundreds gather for summit on the theme Women

Hundreds of women of different ages and ethnicities gathered at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center on Thursday at the first summit of South Carolina on women.

The Alliance for Women, in partnership with the South Carolina Commission on the theme “Women and Columbia College, is organizing the event after their mission of improving the standard of living for all citizens of South Carolina by supporting the strengthening economic empowerment, health and well-being and political participation of the status of women.

Women in 2008 were Achievement Awards to 7 of the State more effective and women appreciate leaders. June Bradham and Dr Charmaine Stradford were designed for the advancement of women in the field of economic autonomy. Nikki Haley and Joyce Hearn were for their service and inspiration in political participation. Linda Dingle Gadson and Frances Ashe-Goins, for his performance in promoting women’s status by the health and well-being. And the Pioneer Award was awarded to Harriet Keyserling for his unique and revolutionary nature and the manner of driving.

Note speakers included Dr. Ann Kulze, inspired the audience of 300 women from across the state the right to eat to live in increasing labour productivity and happiness at home.
