Group of South Carolina Business Executives Focuses on Education.
The need to improve education in South Carolina is seemingly on every business person’s priority list these days, and one group that’s become particularly influential on the topic is the Palmetto Business Forum.
The group of about 35 S.C. business leaders recently selected Bob Staton, president of Colonial Life and Accident Insurance, as its new chairman.
While the forum has traditionally had a low profile, in recent times some members, most notably Larry Wilson, CEO of Policy Management Systems Corp., have been more outspoken about the need for education reform.
