Michelin North America, Inc., headquartered in Greenville, SC, was among 34 companies honored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) at a ceremony held this week during the annual conference of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals Philadelphia. The SmartWay Excellence Award 2007 were winners of the driving environment in terms of reducing fuel consumption and reduce emissions of greenhouse gases by large trucks.

Michelin is a part of the EPA’s ® SmartWay Transportation Partnership, an innovative collaboration between the EPO and the freight industry to improve energy efficiency net reduction of greenhouse gases and air pollution .
